Welcome to Älmhult, the birthplace of IKEA!
This small town in southern Sweden is dominated by the worldwide company, but there are other great things to experience here as well. You will have the opportunity to look at the well-known botanist Carl von Linnaeus Råshult garden, see what mansions in Sweden looked like a hundred years ago at the well-preserved Huseby and meet elks up close. The beautiful roads through the Småland countryside bring you to the heart of Sweden.
The meeting will be held at IKEA’s hotel in Älmhult, right next to IKEA’s first store, which is now a museum with both permanent and temporary exhibitions that you can also visit during the meeting. The hotel has been on site since 1964, but has recently been completely renovated in Scandinavian style.
